At Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission, we offer Religious Education programs for children and adults to prepare for the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. Join us to grow in faith and receive these important sacraments.

Los sacramentos y requisitos
Baptism | Bautizo
Requisitos: Según el Canon #874, 1:3 – El padrino debe tener los Sacramentos de Iniciación cristiana y llevar “una vida congruente con la fe y con la misión que va asumir”.
Tambien debe ser miembro registrado, activo y co-responsable con su parroquia y las necesidades de su comunidad.
Requirements: According to Canon Law #874, 1:3 – The sponsor should have the Sacraments of Christian initiation and lead a ” life congruent with the faith and with the mission that they will assume”. Also, sponsors should be an active registered member and co-responsible with their parrish and the needs of the community.
First Communion | Primera Comunión
Requisitos: Para recibir el sacramento de Primera Comunión (Santa Eucaristía) el candidato primero debe asistir 2 años de catecismo (doctrina) empezando a la edad de 7 años o mayor.
Requirements: In order to receive the sacrament of First Communion (Holy Eucharist) the candidate should first attend 2 years of catechism class beginning at age 7 or older.

Marriage | Matrimonio
Requisitos:
- La fecha de la boda debe reservarse al menos seis meses antes.
- Presentar certificados de los sacramentos de iniciación; o prepararse para cualquier sacramento no recibido. Es posible que necesite asistir el RICA.
- Haga una cita con el Padre Gilberto para completar la Investigación Prenupcial (Formulario A) y cada uno debe tener 2 testigos usando el Formulario B.
- Asistir a Pre-cana o Convalidación
- Asistir a Ensayo y Reconciliación
Requirements:
- The wedding date must be reserved at least six month’s prior.
- Present certificates of the sacraments of initiation; or prepare for any sacrament not received. You may need to attend RCIA.
- Make an appointment with Father Gilberto to complete Prenuptial Investigation (Form A) and each must have 2 witnesses using Form B.
- Attend Pre-cana or Convalidation
- Attend Rehearsal and Reconciliation
Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) | Orden de la Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos
Requisitos: Para adultos mayores de 18 años que necesitan uno o los tres sacramentos de iniciacion: bautismo, confirmacion o Eucaristia (primera comunion) unete al RICA. Se reunen Miercoles a las 7:00pm y Domingos.
Estas clases no se limitan tan solo a las personas que necesitan alguno de los sacramentos, se invitan a toda persona que quiera conocer mas sobre su fe catolica ha que participen.
Requirements: For adults 18 years or older who needs one or three sacraments of initiation – baptism, communion, or confirmation – join RCIA. They meet on Wednesdays at 7:00pm and Sundays.
These classes are not limited to just those who need a sacrament; we invite all who would like to learn more about their Catholic faith to participate.
